Ready for the Ultimate Viking Adventure?

Will I have access to my laptop, phone and WIFI?

Yes, there will be down time for you to plug back into your work using your phones or laptops for any really necessary communications, but we really want to limit the usage of your devices so that for the majority of the time we are collectively doing a DIGITAL DETOX:

Unplugging yourself from your devices or making the effort to use them less can help improve your quality of life by helping you calm down and feel content. Several social experiments found that taking a scheduled break away from your smartphone or digital device can lower your stress levels.

Yes, there is WIFI available at the Hotel. You are welcome to access WIFI as needed, but we suggest keeping to the Digital Detox and being away from the phones/laptops during the daytime & activities as much as possible.

Why will many of the activities be outdoors?

Most of us have lost touch with nature and have been so disconnected from our beautiful planet’s amazing natural environment and its benefits. New studies show the benefits of being outdoors for as much as possible showed lower prefrontal cortex activity, a brain region that, when overstimulated, is responsible for stress, depression, and anxiety.

Other documented benefits from exposure to nature include:

  • Lower Blood Pressure

  • Improved Memory

  • Elevated Mood

  • Better Sleep Quality

  • Increased Self-Esteem

  • Better Vitamin Absorption

  • Stronger Immune System

Exposing yourself to nature has been scientifically shown to improve both mental and physical health. Research has shown that nature sounds or even outdoor silence can lower cortisol, the stress hormone that activates our fight-or-flight response. It may also correlate to a likelier receptiveness to introspection, positive internal dialogue, and overall increased happiness. That is part of the reason why this trip exists!
